HP Slate To Rival Apple iPad and Has Flash!
There has been a lot of consumer feedback about the Apple iPad and how Steve Jobs refuses to include the Adobe Flash player on this device. Well HP did not waste any time making their own iPad knock off and this one may cause some serious competition for Apple. Offering full media rich Adobe Flash experience, many consumers will be picking up the HP Slate and putting down the Apple iPad.
Most likely this will only push Apple to change their mind and begin working on an update to allow consumers to run the software they want on their newest tablet. However, if the Slate makes it to market quick enough this many have a huge impact on the initial sales of the Apple iPad. So if you are an investor in Apple, you better be ready for the competition to pick up and fast! HP promises release of there new iPad killer this year and also promises access to the “complete web” from their device unlike Apple’s iPad.
Yes, Apple wants to confine their users to their own app store, music store and ebook store, but they may be loosing a lot of sales over this greedy decision. If the slate and other similar devices start popping up for lower prices than the iPad, consumers may as well save their money and buy an iphone, at least it has a camera. It just seems that Apple could have done so much more with the release of the iPad, but they have drug their feet to long, other companies will be happy to pickup where they left off.
