This is the official HP slate preview video that HP was so generous to share about 2 hours after the Apple iPad commercial was first released a few days ago.  We know that there is going to be a lot of other companies bringing out tablets to compete with the iPad, but it seems that HP is not waiting around at all. They have there release date set for this year, so you will most likely see the HP slate in stores just a few months after the iPad hits.

The Apple iPad will be the first to hit the market, but HP is not letting them get to far ahead.  It seems that there may be more public interest in the tablet after all.  The first few attempts at releasing a tablet PC were nothing more than mild successes to say the best and most ended in complete failure and lack of public interest.  Well, now that Apple has got the publics eye, everybody is ready to start releasing a new wave of tablet PC’s and test the waters again.

Many consumers will be happy to wait a couple months for a similar device that will be running Windows instead of the chiseled down Mac OS that is used on the iPhone.  This model also will allow it’s users to take full advantage of Adobe Flash.  So let the competition begin!
