I have been using many different cases for my current phone, which happens to be an iPhone 4, no not an S yet. The fact that there are so many cases out there makes it easy to switch often and still feel like you are missing something. I have always been a fan of the bumper cases, especially the very thin ones, because they give you the most realistic feel and close to the original small form factor of the latest iPhone models. However, there some cases that actually add a little functionality besides just protecting these amazing gadgets.

So What Is The WipeCoin iPhone Case

The WipeCoin iPhone case is a new case that is manufacturered in Germany and in belief of full disclosure I will let you know that I was given one of these sweet cases for review and testing purposes. You can see everything I received in the package in the images below. Regardless of how
I came across this case, let’s get down to what does. This case has a small black or white (they come in both colors) round disc or coin, hence forth the name. This coin is lodged into a nice fitting location that does not impede the performance of the touchscreen nor does it get in the way of viewing. When you screen gets all smudged up, you simply slide the coin loose and wipe your screen, then return it to its parked position.

The Wipe Coin iPhone Case Is Very clever!

I think that no only the concept but the design of this new iPhone case are smart. The coin is covered with microfiber so your phone screen gets cleaned with no scratches and no lint left behind. the case does exactly what it is designed to do and it cost right around 20 bones on amazon.

Is The WipeCoin A Good Protective Case?

I think so, absolutely. The case is made of a rock solid material. I have ran not stress tests, but it seems like a very stable case that really keeps you phone locked in once you snap it into place. the case has a few contact points that grab the metal lip on the side of the phone. this also helps it stay very slim, because it almost sits completely flush with the front of the iPhone screen, I like this a lot.

Its Even Great For Gaming!

At first I thought that the small bubble at the bottom of the case where the coin sits would become a distraction, but much to the contrary, it became an obsession. I don’t know about everybody, but for myself, there are some games that have on screen buttons and as I play I just feel like I am always trying to get a good grip to reach the buttons while still holding on to the phone. The round “knob” at the bottom is great for games that you lay the phone on its side to play because you can wrap your pinkie finger around it like the bottom of a game controller. It is surprising comfortable and is an amazing and undocumented bonus for games.

For a while now, BlackBerry has made traditional looking business phones. However, the company has updated their mobile phones to now offer those having touchscreens. The first BlackBerry device to boast this feature will be the BlackBerry Curve Touch. This newest model will be different than previous models because it will not have a full QWERTY keyboard. This has long been a signature of BlackBerry mobile phones. However, with the new touchscreen this keyboard is not longer needed.

The overall size of the touchscreen found on the Curve will be somewhat smaller than other touchscreen devices. Part of the company’s decision to do this was to make the Curve more affordable to more people. Currently, the touchscreen is expected to measure 3.25 inches with a resolution of 480 by 360.

Every smartphone comes with some sort of operating system. The operating system featured on the BlackBerry Curve Touch is of course the BlackBerry operating system. However, it is the newest version which is OS 7. Even though the Curve touch now features different technology with the inclusion of a touchscreen, it still comes with other features that are part of BlackBerry smartphones. For instance, users of the Curve Touch would still be eligible to access apps found in the BlackBerry App World.

Many features have been included in the design of the BlackBerry Curve Touch. For instance, the camera comes with a 5 megapixel camera and a built in 1 GB flash. The camera is not exclusively for taking still images but can also handle videos as well.

Currently, the BlackBerry Curve Touch has not been released. However, its release is expected to occur later this year or early in 2012. This should create a lot of excitement in the world of mobile phones and provide some competition for other producers of touch screen devices; check out Dialaphone to find out more on this exciting development in tech.

I got one of these gadgets a while ago just because they are free. I do not currently run a business that accepts credit cards at a physical location, but in the past when I did it was a big headache. The Square merchant system really simplifies how merchants can accept payments and the hardware is totally free.

If you are not familiar with the square credit card reader you really should be. This new creation by Jack Dorsey is really changing the way that merchants are doing business. Just to have a merchant account and the ability to accept credit cards from your brick and mortar store used to be expensive. There were monthly fees, percentages on sales and usually even a flat fee per transaction on top of it all. This means that any business that wanted to except credit cards really had to do some investing and be able to take a hit on every dollar they made to make it feasible to do so.

Go get your free Square Credit Card Reader here.

My Square

Square not only makes it possible for anybody with an iPhone to take credit card payments right on their phone by swiping cards via the square dongle, bu they are also offering some of the most competitive rates in the industry. All this combined with a totally free setup and hardware shipped to door, may make this little company one of the larger credit card processing companies in the near future.

Mobile Credit Card Payments

The Square device allows cards to be swiped or punched in manually and it can be used anywhere that your phone has cell phone reception. This makes the Square device and service perfect for any traveling salesmen, flea market seller or anybody who needs to take credit card payments on the go. There has never been a faster, simpler and cheaper way to sell goods from any mobile location.

Now Even Cheaper

Square just sent out an email today stating that they would be doing away with the flat fee per transaction and now the only fee that will incur when you take payment is a 2.75% surcharge. This makes the Square company cheaper than Paypal!

All the tech sources were leaked information about Sprint’s up coming announcement. The Sprint release on February 7th promised to bring a big name to the stage “David Blaine” and a so called industry first. The tech critics were all all agreeing that they did not need to drag in a world famous magician to show off anything that was really amazing. It turns out that they really did have something that was worth showing and it also was truly and industry first.

The new Sprint Kyocera Echo is a totally new phone that is the worlds first dual screen cell phone. The new options of this phone are almost endless. Can you imagine viewing your favorite podcast on one screen and interacting with the chat room on the other? There are many different ways to use the dual screens on this phone and if you are a video lover, then use both screens together as one and enjoy a huge 4.7 diagonal screen. This new cell phone has a lot of potential and this may be the move that puts Sprint in the same spotlight as Verizon and AT&T.

However, the concept phone that they have labeled “SeaBird” would make anybody in their right mind think that they may have a trick to two up their sleeve that they are not letting the public know about quite yet. This phone is simply crazy cool looking and you know what, most of the technology used in the amazing cell phone concept video below is definitely a few years off. This does not mean that the masterminds at Mozilla are not working on the next iPhone killer in secret!

If you have ever wondered how a person could take everything that we thought we knew and loved about a cell phone and totally crush that idea, then inject some new ideas that make geeks spiddle from the mouth, these guys have done it. Just watch the video below and then sit back and think for a minute…would I really want something this cool or not?

Right now it may be one of the fastest mobile phone processing unites out there.

The Firefox mobile browser has been available since January for Nokia N900 users. However, there are few who are aware of it still. This new mobile browser promises a lot of create

Firefox Mobile

Mozilla labs have brought many of the fan favorite features to its new Firefox Mobile platform. You will be glad to know that there are some new web browsing magic being brought to the table too. Just watch this video and see what Mozilla Labs has cooking for its Firefox Mobile users.

Why Use Firefox Mobile?

There are many reasons that cell phone users and people with other mobile devices that may run Firefox in the future will be glad to use it instead of the built in mobile browser. The biggest reason most users will flock to Mozilla Firefox on mobile devices, is because it is the first mobile browser to offer plug-ins. Just like the standard Firefox installation, you will have the ability to customize and add functionality to your Firefox mobile browser by adding new plug-ins. This is a whole new ballgame for those who browse the web from mobile devices and will be sure to find its way on to many more platforms soon.

Using the new Mozilla “Weave” you can also synchronize your browser with your desktop browser. This is another great feature that will be another first for mobile browsing. Mozilla is wasting no time in bringing the big features that mobile users are going to love.

Mozilla mobile will also grab many new users instantly because of its current popularity on desktop systems as well. This may be one way to force all other browser makers to start catching up and make mobile versions to compete. However at this time, Nokia has a corner on the market for Firefox lovers.

When Will Firefox Mobile Be Available For My Phone?

Well, right now nobody really knows when Mozilla plans to release its mobile Firefox version on other cell phones and mobile devices. It would make since that they are already working on some other popular phones. We expect to see Firefox mobile available on the iPhone and Android enabled phones next. This would be the most logical step. Ever since the Smartphone marketplace has exploded, these 2 mobile phone OS’s seem to have excelled. Until we have the news, you can check on Mozilla’s mobile page for updates on the Firefox mobile browser.

How To Get Firefox Mobile

It is very simple to get your Nokia N900 setup with the new Mozilla Firefox Mobile, simply navigate to http://firefox.com/m and your done! If you want to keep up with the news and updates on this awesome new experience for mobile users, just bookmark this, Firefox Mobile.

Apparently Google has finally folded. They cannot pick up any steam when it comes to the online sales of their “supposed to be” flagship model, the Nexus One. This phone was Googles first stab at a cell phone and they initially thought that keeping it exclusive would help. It turns out no matter how many of their own ad words spaces they buy, it is simply not selling like it was anticipated online. The marketing pro’s have decided that it is now time to change the Nexus One and Google strategy and see if hey cannot really turn this huge mobile device investment around.

They are not totally giving up, they have just rethought their marketing strategy. They are going to pick out a few retailers and see if it does better online. This is an interesting change, but there will be no telling if this will spike sales for the Nexus One or maybe the heyday for this phone has come and passed already. There are many other android enabled cell phones on the market now and it will be hard to compete with these other phones that have already penetrated the market.

Google’s Own Words On This Situation

Here is what Google had to say on their official Nexus One blog:

When we launched Nexus One in January, we announced partnerships with Vodafone in Europe and Verizon Wireless in the US. We have news on both fronts.

In the US, if you’ve been waiting for the Nexus One for Verizon Wireless’ network, head over to http://phones.verizonwireless.com/htc/incredible to pre-order the Droid Incredible by HTC, a powerful new Android phone and a cousin of the Nexus One that is similarly feature-packed. It will be available in stores on April 29th.

Can They Still Breath Life Back Into The Nexus One?

We have never seen a company try to bring a product back from the dead like this, especially one that is not new any more. this may e a hail merry for Google. There has been no official mention of what cell phone companies will be to offer the Nexus One at or if there will be any exclusive offers for specific carriers. The cell phone competition has been heating up, so we expect to see these at a familiar $99 or $149 with a contract upgrade. The phone is currently being offered on T-mobile, Sprint and Verizon networks with a contract for $179 and $529 with no contract or if you want to take your nexus one to AT&T. They are going to have to give consumers some more incentive if they really want to boost sales. However, since their app store has been dwindling too, it seems that they may not have been ready to be big contenders in the mobile world at all.

The iPhone 4G will be released in another month or so and this would be the perfect opportunity for Google to give Apple some much needed competition on release date.

There has been all sorts of news stories running wild on the net saying how the Android phone sales are totally squashing iPhone sales. This is true, kind of. It really depends on what metrics you want to use. Are they shipping more products, are they making more profit, are they actually getting more in the hands of customers and if so, how are they doing it?

To really say they are outselling the Apple iPhone many people think that they should compare “apples to apples” because right now you can grab some droid phones for fifty bucks and they have a buy one get one deal on another Andoid enabled phone. So are android phones really outselling Apple or are they just giving them away….

Getting the phones into the consumers hand is really important, but if your going to say your outselling another company, most people think that you should at least be making money on these so called “sales”. Here is what PC World had to say about the mixed emotions about these very misleading representations being spread across the net : Don’t Be Misled By Android Sales Stats

The biggest and best out there still seem to be the iPhone models and the Android enabled HTC models. Between these 2 it is very hard to choose. Both offer a lot of functionality that make them more than just a cell phone.

The HTC Desire has been doing quite a bit of bragging about its processor speed, but does it make a difference? Well, when put to the test of web page load time, you may be surprised who winds in this battle!

I just jail broke my iPhone 3G running v3.1.3 firmware and I think I am already in love with Cydia. It turns out that unleashing the full power of the iPhone is a lot easier ...

I just jail broke my iPhone 3G running v3.1.3 firmware and I think I am already in love with Cydia. It turns out that unleashing the full power of the iPhone is a lot easier than I thought. I have read some horror stories about people trying to get their iPhone into DFU mode to apply past iPhone jailbreak packages. The new one, is a click away from iPhone freedom!

C’mon Every bodies doing It

Many of my friends have had jail broke their iPhones and I have been interested in the extra features and functionality that this simple hack has made on their phones. There was a problem for many users who had updated to the iPhone firmware 3.1.3 from 3.1.2 apparently enough changes were made between these two software updates that all the standard methods of jail braking iPhones was no longer working. I had tried the blackra1n and redsnow versions and obviously neither one was effective. After doing some extensive research it sounded like if you had a Mac there was software that would do it, but living in an Windows environment that was not a option for me.

You Can Tether Too!

Using one of the many free apps available once you jailbreak your iPhone, you an see the ad-hoc network that is sharing the AT&T Internet connection with my pc here! It only took about 2 minutes to setup this ad-hoc network and now I am using my cell phones Internet connection on my PC, how cool is that.

Good News For 3.1.3 Users

Recently there was a new application that was released to help iPhone owners unlock and jail break their iPhones even if they were on the new 3.1.3 firmware. There has been a hack ready in waiting for the release of the new iPhone 4 OS, but until it is released there will no way for those who do not have a Apple developer account to take advantage of it. This new jailbreak takes less than 5 minutes to complete and that includes the reboot and install of Cydia.

Download The iPhone 3.1.3 Spirit Jailbreak

Download iPhone Jailbreak For 3.1.3 Firmware

This is the only easy way to jailbreak an iPhone running v3.1.3 firmware that we know of. Now, don’t get mad at us if you have any problems, these things can be kind of janky, so read up on this before you attempt to jailbreak your iPhone. We do not claim any responsibility and all of that too…

The first thing I got installed and working was a cool set of lightning backgrounds. Now unlike standard apps, this background software actually lets you change the background behind the icons on the iPhone. The Winterboard allows you to tweak all sorts of setting like transparencies and if text shows under icons that are docked and pretty much anything you can think of on your iPhone “desktop”. This was pretty cool. Now on to testing the free tethering software that allows you to use your iPhone as a modem for any computer…..Cool!

The Apple iPhone OS 4 will be released pretty soon if you want to get sneak peak at what it will do the for oldest iPhone model it is available for, the iPhone 3G we have found a cool video for you. The video shows what you can now do with this iPhone OS 4 software update which should be freely available some time in June. This is most likely when the iPhone 4G will be released, since we have heard that AT&T has revoked all vacation time for this whole month, it seems pretty obvious!

The release of the new iPhone model and the iPhone OS4 will really make a lot of consumers happy and give them the functions and feature that they have wanted for a long time. This release should stop a lot of people from jailbreaking their iPhone just to get the features they want. This may be part of reason that many of the features that you could only use after performing an iphone jailbreak are now added. This will keep more users on the Apple App store and not buying from Cydia and other only app seller.

The new Apple iPhone OS 4 will allow you to create folders, use a zoom on the camera, combine all your social account messages into one email app and a lot more. There are some nice multitasking functions that have been added too, just no flash support, so don’t get too excited..

Yes, the iPhone Operating System 4 has been leaked. There are only a few weeks left before the official release of the iPhone OS 4 but who wants to wait? You can download the version that is quasi legit. The only reason we say that is that you should only be able to use this new version of the iPhone software with a developers licence, which costs $99 from Apple. However, some sneaky programmers have already got the OS 4 hacked so you can use it now.

This is not a jailbroken version. So if you are thinking about jailbreaking your iPhone then you need to google the dev team, blackrain or redsnow to find the latest versions. The iPhone OS 4 has already been jailbroken, but until its official release from Apple, you will not be able to apply the new iPhone OS 4 Jailbreak.

So if you are ready to take a sneak peak into what the new iPhone Operation System is, you can download it below. Be warned, there are still some small glitches in this firmware version and it is not an official Apple download. So basically you are taking a risk and we will not be held reliable for any problems you may run into. So if nothing else make sure that you backup your iPhone on iTunes before you get this!

The Apple iPhone Game Center which can turn out to be operated with Apple iPhone Operating System 4 software, contains a combination of API’s that permit the software toward develop applications that let gamers to play games with multi-player which can turn out to be done by track achievements and matchmaking.
The recently released iPhone game center is about such as a social networking site. It can be used with roughly every single one the apple gadgets for example iPod touch, iPhone, ipad etc. This a new revolution during the world of online gaming and will give a various degree of uniformity over the online gaming platform that is very unlike the Xbox live of Microsoft.

The one thing which numerous users will not be effected by, on the contrary may change the existing app developers motivation is the inclusion Apple ads inside the games that connect toward the Apple Gaming Center. Lots of developers think whichthey should offer full control over their own iPhone app development, including the advertisements. Once every single one this is how they pay the bills. There is no official word if the dev teams will get a portion of the proceeds or not, just that this is how it’s going toward be once released during the next iPhone software update of iPhone OS 4.

The Competing iPhone Game Networks

Here is what cNet blogger Josh Lowensohn had toward say about the already existing networks that Apple iPhone users were already able toward connect and play on.

“Ngmoco, maker of popular game titles like Rolando, We Rule, as well as Touch Pets, also created the Plus+ social network. It’s built in to every single one of its own titles, as well as a select group of games from other developers. Ngmoco’s chief publishing officer, Simon Jeffrey, told CNET whichthe company “has anticipated this move from Apple for a few moment,” as well as whichit should bring a cleaner developer and customer experience.”

“Ngmoco may not turn out to be the best barometer of the industry, through. OpenFeint, that just launched its fourth foremost iteration of its social-gaming platform with its iPad game Aurora Feint three, is in more games than any other network. It is installed in 1,500 App Store games, and it has more than 19 million registered users, a million of which use those apps each as well as every day. Like Ngmoco’s Plus+, it, too, offers ways to see what your friends are up to, along with tracking in-game achievements and storing game-save data.”

Apple Brings A Fresh Gaming Network Platform To iPhone Users

This fresh gaming platform cum social networking site is made to function around four items as well as they are matchmaking, friend invites, point based achievements as well as leader boards. It will service in increasing the acceptance of iPhone still more by increasing its features and changing it into a gaming gadget. Although the full details regarding the operation of the Apple Operating System four game center is not yet fully known nevertheless it is a new advancement in online gaming that has not been witnessed prior to . It is not sure but if the applications of iPhone , iPad or iPod touch will offer toward be modified or not for making the full use of this game center on the contrary it is said whichonly the latest version of os in these Apple gadgets will be able to support the game center.

This new game center has the advantage over the earlier gaming gizmos since it allows for impressive as well as easy connectivity with other players while playing along with all the special features of Apple devices. It is a boom for apple users since it can turn out to be used along with roughly every single one the Apple gadgets. Though this game centre can work with the os four of iPhone or with the third generation iPhone as well as with ipad , all the features of this game center (such as multi tasking) are not compatible with the features of ipad and iPod touch yet.

The Palm Pre Plus is an advanced Smartphone with has multimedia features. It has been marketed and designed by Palm and contains many new exciting features like a keyboard which can slide out and a multi touch screen. It is the first Smartphone to use the brand new Operating System from Palm called the WEB Operating System of the version 1.4.1.1 and is based on Linux software which makes the OS solid and secure. It can be used in a variety of ways like for example as a portable media player, a camera phone and it also has special capabilities like navigation and location. It also has features to manage information efficiently and so can be used as a useful information manager for personal or sensitive data. The palm pre smart phone also provides a lot of connectivity options like built – in WI–Fi and Bluetooth connectivity.

The touch screen surface of the Palm Pre Plus extends beyond the screen. This is a new feature that most other smart phones do not have. The area below the screen can be used to perform common mouse gestures to active applications and move forward and backward in certain applications. This gives users even more functions and actions from each screen that you are on. It is features like this that have made the new release from Palm very unique and very popular, because you can’t get functionality like this from any phone, even the iPhone owners are jealous of this.

This brand new version of smart phone has received a very positive response from cities the world over and has gained a lot of name and fame by winning awards like best in category and best in the show at CNET’s for Smart phones and cell phones. The previously released Palm Pre won an award from CES 2009 for people’s voice. Now that the Palm Pre is out the odds are it is going to become a fan favorite too. The newest features and more powerful mobile processor will be sure to make the old Palm fans happy and most likely make few new Palm advocates along the way.

The new features of Palm Pre Plus includes brand new functions like no central button, a vast storage memory of 16 GBs which was initially of 8 GB, an attractive back cover which is compatible with touchstone, double memory of RAM (which is 512MB now in the palm pre as compared to the earlier 256MB), a sliding type keyboard for more efficient and easy typing. It was released officially in 2010 on the 22nd of March. The palm pre which also participated in the show hosted by consumer electronics in the year 2009 was the first handset to have made use of the processor Texas Instrument OMAP 3430.

It was also the 1st mobile phone to have made a high profile US contract with Sprint that functions on a CDMA network. Before its official release it was referred to by the secret codename of ‘Castle’ internally. The Palm Pre has many features which are similar to the iPhone of apple which had created many controversies regarding the violation of patent rules but it came out of all these problems without any major setbacks .This smart phone is available at many popular stores like Sprint stores , Best Buy , Radio Shack etc.

The Xperia X10 of Sony Ericsson was released for the first time in the year 2009 on 3rd November. This has entered Sony Ericsson in the market of hugely popular Android Operating System. The features of this smart phone include a camera of 8 mega pixel and a Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU of 1 GHz. It has a screen which provides good quality resolution which of wide screen for HD or DVD scale video viewing. The Xperia X10 smart phone users can access all the applications of the android operating system and Android market with a couple clicks. This hot new smart phone from Sony provides a HSDPA (3G+) connection speed for the handset user’s benefit.

It also a special feature in the form of an advanced UX platform which will develop through the portfolio of product and increase as time passes by leading to addition of new functions and features. Two new tiny versions were also released in 2010 at the mobile congress of the world. These two mini versions are the X10 Mini pro and the X10 Mini with contain a brand new feature of having a keyboard which can slide out. Many cell phone lovers are still going for the slide out keyboard feature more than the touch screen keypad, so Sony has decided to appease both sides on this one.

The size of this smart phone is 199x63x13 mm and its weight along with the battery is only 135g.

This smart phone has high camera resolution and is very sleek and light to carry. Its battery is easily available as it uses a standard Sony battery and can be replaced easily if the need arises. The Xperia X10 of Sony Ericsson also provides a good warranty scheme and is a great handset to watch movies and videos because it has a good screen size and amazing screen resolution. Being a touch screen handset it is very easy to use with one hand. It also contains GPS capability which can be activated by the user.

iPhone owners speak out and Apple actually listens. Maybe Microsoft does still have something to learn from Mr. Jobs. The iPhone’s ability to multi-task has been rather limited in the past. You could listen to your ipod while doing most other phone based tasks and could hold a phone call while doing damn near anything, but that was about it.

One of the biggest consumer complaints has been with the text messenger that shows up in front of all apps, so you get your message, but then you have to close the app to reply. Another place many iPhone users are frustrated with is using online music services. You cannot stream online music and browse web, but soon this will be availabe to all iPhone users and the multi-tasking capabilitiy will ship standard with the 4G model iPhone.

iPad users may have to wait for a few months before they get an update that will allow them to run multiple apps simultaneously, but the iPhone software update is expected as soon as a couple weeks from now. The iPhone software V4 will surely have some other new features, but this is one that will keep many iPhone users from jailbreaking their phones and keep users under Apple’s own software umbrella.

This will also take away the biggest point in arguments for those who think that there is still a reason to use a Microsoft based OS on mobile devices. Microsoft has a long way to go if they want to make a leap forward in the mobile device industry. Apple responds to consumer needs like no other. Unlike Microsoft, who only makes commercials depicting such interest in consumer wants and needs.

Click Me To Enlarge!

iPhone 4G has been recognized as one of the greatest leaps when compared to the various existing 3 G phones. This is because of the belief that this phone will have some of those features which have not existed earlier in even the smartest of the phones. The iPhone 4G has got a lot of cell phone companies and consumers dueling on themselves waiting for its release, so here is our spoiler info.

Some of the greatest features and specifications that are offered by this phone include the Dual Core processor, OLED touch screen, presence of a removable battery, video calling feature, HD video recording and LED Flash, etc. The phone also has a double storage capacity of 64 GB and 32 GB. The phone also has a touch sensitive outer casting and this is similar to Apple Magic Mouse.

The phone will also have several other innovative features not only in terms of its hardware but also in its software. Owing to the presence of these features in iPhone 4G, it is expected that this phone will revolutionize the mobile industry. The price of the phone has not yet been disclosed as yet. Through this phone, it will possible to indulge in activities such as live video chat. The phone will also consist of higher and powerful graphic chips.

When comparing the features of iPhone 4G with the available phones, it definitely seems to be much more superior to the other existing phones. The phone will also have a multi-tasking capability and a push technology and these features can be easily supported on the phone as the battery life of the phone also gets upgraded. This phone is also expected to contain a superior camera of at least 3.2 Mega pixel and this will also support flash technology.

Efforts are being made by Adobe to bring in flash on the iPhone. Thus, for this upgraded iPhone 4G, it is expected that the flash would come pre-loaded. The battery of the phone is definitely expected to be more durable in the coming upgrade and also the battery is expected to be removable. Thus, if the battery is exhausted, the users will be simply able to get an extra battery. Another feature that can be expected with this to be launched revolutionary phone is that of facilitating video conferencing.

Yep, AT&T is finally tired of everybody complaining about a hundred dollar phone bill and no reception. So there answer is push it off on the consumer and make them pay more if they actually want get cell phone reception for their iPhones. Sounds crazy, yes we know, but it is very true and coming to store near you, sooner than you think.

Verizon has been playing around with this idea for some time, but recently AT&T has hooked up with technowhiz Cisco to create miniature cell phone towers to boost reception, that you can buy and place in your home or office to get the cell phone service you are already paying for. Well, these little “Mini Cells” as they are being called, are not really cell phone towers they require an internet connection and using your existing internet connection pipe you calls through the backbone of the web. The end results is crystal clear reception.

If you are one of the AT&T customers who can’t make a phone call from your home, this may be the answer you have been looking for. However, your minutes will rack up on your bill all the same, even though you have to buy the device and pay for an internet connection to use it. Not the best idea AT&T, maybe you could just build a network that is worth a damn. Actually due to some recent public fillings it is now public information that AT&T plans to spend 8 Billion dollars in the next year to upgrade their network, so if you can wait, yo may not even need one of these devices. However, the concept is interesting and if you don’t want to rack up the minutes there is supposed to be a $20/month unlimited feature too.

Yes, this totally sounds like something out of Star Trek episode and until we see it in person, we believe it very well may be. No, we’re just kidding. The new Sharp 3-D screens are already in production now. The new 3-D technology that Sharp has pioneered is going to come to smaller handheld devices before anything bigger. The media will be frezying once these are turned into full size television screens, but for now we will have to enjoy our 3-D Glassless screens on our cell phones, mobile computer and mobile gaming systems.

Rumor has it that Nintendo has already got into the game and will be releasing a new Nintendo 3DS that will use this same technology. We think that the ability to display 3d images without any external media like glasses may totally change the gaming industry. Until now the only option for 3d gaming was using the software generated 3D in certain Panasonic televisions. Well, now anything is possible and the makers of all visual media are going to have to get ready to change everything they know about putting together eye candy, because in the near future it will all be 3-D!

There will most likely be a few cell phones models and other wireless devices that come out showing off this technology first. However, we feel the sky is the limit with something like this and can’t wait to go to watch our first 3-D movie, without the glasses! There is no official release date on this new 3-D screen technology, but we will make sure to post an update when we have a real date to share with our readers.

As the release of the Windows Phone 7 Series draws near, Microsoft had a few to show off at the recent Mix10 conference. The Cnet guys got to see the new phone from Microsoft has got everybody talking. The new release from Microsoft is coming very soon, but there are still so many secrets about what all it will capable of, people can’t stop buzzing!

One of the displays that Microsoft had available for the public to play around with we an emulator driven touchscreen test drive of their new Risk game that uses a bing map as a background. They also had a couple more big screen displays to allow people to see what the device could do. Some visitors were confused why they could not just try it out on the Windows Phone 7 Series itself. Of course the fact that visitors were having to navigate the phone on a large touchscreen tends to all sorts of Apple iPad jokes, we are going to leave this one alone.

Microsoft’s New “Look But Don’t Touch” Policy

The word on the street is that Microsoft was so worried about one of these early models getting stolen that nobody could touch little lone hold the new prototypes. We don’t blame them, I am sure a lot of people would love to get their hands on one of these hot new items and probably tear into it and figure out how to hack them before they are released. We think this should take a at least a few weeks, not something to be done before release….lol

The new touch screen smart phone from Microsoft has a lot of competitors talking and Apple is sure to be keeping a close eye on this one too. Below are some photos shared from the Cnet.

Final comments from the conference :

“While conference goers didn’t leave with one of the devices, Microsoft did release a free Windows-based emulator and tools for developers to start writing their Windows Phone apps.”

-Cnet

So there is hope for developers that are interested in getting an early start on application development. Now that Apple has stolen the show as the premier software seller on mobile devices, Microsoft will be sure to do all they can get back on their thrown as the original and always King of Software!

The title was not a typo, Google has announced that they are going to release there very own Apps store by the end of next week. Apple has had so much success with the Apple Apps Store that everybody wants a piece of the pie now. There is also another group which comprises of a team of big name cell phone makers that is currently teaming up to build a standardized app store that will be able to serve up applications for a long list of phones. Moving to a standard cell phone app theme is one way that app developers will be able to get more exposure and of course one way these companies can make more money.

Currently there is a Android Market and you can purchase paid apps and download free apps for your Nexus One here. However, apparently Google has their eyes set on something bigger. This year AT&T will get 3 new phones that are running the Google Android OS and these phones will be utilizing this new Google App store as their primary source for new games, utilities and more!

It seems like everybody wants to jump on the mobile device App bandwagon and we don’t blame them. This is obviously what the consumer wants and there are plenty of buyers out there. We wonder if Apple will release a standardized version of their own app store soon to compete with all the new competition as it pops up, but only time will tell.

Yes, Apple is taking HTC to court and will be arguing there case against them for using multiple Apple patents and some pending patents as well. It seems that they may actually have a case on one ...

Yes, Apple is taking HTC to court and will be arguing there case against them for using multiple Apple patents and some pending patents as well. It seems that they may actually have a case on one or two of their concepts and intellectual property issues. However, they also have a patents on gravity, which we are not sure how that will hold up in court?

Apple has been pretty big on getting patents on all there iproducts. They have received an amazing amount of patents on different parts and technologies used to create there computers, iPods, iPhones and of course the iPad that is getting ready to come out. In theory these patents to do not really stop others from using the same technology in development, but rather gives Apple a little leverage in the courtroom to hold up other companies production and get a piece of the pie monetarily anytime somebody else if profiting from their intellectual property.

Is Apple Afraid Of HTC and Google Android Competition?

So Apple has just stared there newest lawsuit against the creator of the Nexus One Android Phone and the HTC Here (also Android enabled) HTC. This company has been making some of the latest and greatest cell phones for a while, but they are getting ready to ship a few new models this year.

The big news is that these new HTC phones will be Google Android enabled and will be available on the AT&T network for the first time ever, this year. Most people are speculating that this is sad attempt from Apple to stop the heavy competition from coming to AT&T considering that this is the only cellular network that currently offers the famous Apple iPhone right now.

No matter what the reasoning behind the lawsuit, the timing really does match up as HTC is just getting ready to ship millions of these phones from Taiwan. Part of the lawsuit will be directed at stopping this shipment and keeping these new iPhone competitors out of the hands of Americans.

So what are the patents in question in this lawsuit between Apple and HTC?

There are many that Apple will be bringing up in this huge court case. Among the list are; Undervolting Cell Phone CPU’s, The use of object oriented graphics on cell phones, multi-touch gesture controls and touchscreen unlocking. It seems that many of these have been used in numerous other places including, yes on cell phones. It will be interesting which ones the court will side with Apple on, if they do there will be many more lawsuits coming soon from Apple.

It really is amazing that Apple got some of the patents they hold now, in the first place. However, this is part of big business and Apple has proved again and again that they are ready to compete with the big boys and even if that required to hash it out in the courts.

AT&T has a few android phones coming soon, but the first Android Phone HTC Lancaster images are already being leaked across the web. The guys over at engadget apparently have got the man on the inside to share the scoup. So, above you see the first image of the new google enabled AT&T phone. This is just one of many to come, AT&T promised to have 5 similar phones before the end of this year.

So 2010 may bring a lot of changes to the cell phone industry as the Google phones chance networks and become part of the biggest cellular provider in the US. Then we will see the iPhone go Verizon very soon, this deal has been in the works for some time, but apparently there have been some problems working out the details after AT&T lost their exclusive to it January 1, 2010.

There are many other big releases coming for the cell phone users on the AT&T network, but many think this company should not be focusing on getting there hands on the newest and coolest phones. Instead working on there less than desirable network which is looking more and more like something from the stone age every day. The focus of growth for this company has turned from service to sales and this can become a huge problem in the near future if they don’t change there ways.

As you see in the information leaked straight from an AT&T power point presentation, the phone will be exclusively available to AT&T users for only 6 months so if you are on Verizon or Sprint, don’t worry you may be able to get a hold of this hot phone pretty soon!

Microsoft Windows Phone 7 Is A Sure Crowd Pleaser!

The old Windows Mobile platform made a few businessmen happy and gave a solid alternative to the Palm OS but a lot has changed since then. The problem with the old Windows Mobile OS was that is did not have the features that a lot of people were looking for as new websites and social media platforms became popular, Microsoft seemed to try to hold on to their old standards instead of keeping up with the consumers needs. Well, they have finally decided to make the changes that the public demands and we think that this may give Microsoft a hard earned seat at the top of the mobile game.

The Windows Phone 7 Series Is Here

We are looking forward to all the hot new features that the Windows Phone 7 Series will be bringing us and will be sure to keep you updated as we hear more about what is coming your way!
